The 5th steering committee of the HERIT-DATA project took place in Caparica (Lisbon) on 1 and 2 October, hosted by the Portuguese partner FCT Nova. During the two days of meeting, partners had the opportunity to get together and discuss project related issues, such as management matters and updates, the state of the art of the project as well as upcoming work and challenges.
The Lead Partner Coordinator, Davide Bruno from the Tuscany Region updated partners on specific management issues following the last reporting period. Under the communication working package, the progress made was presented, with a focus on the tools that have been developed by Occitanie Region and AViTeM for the upcoming communication activities. Some preliminary discussions on the interim Conference – foreseen in Valencia in the Autumn of 2020 also started. Following that, each partner gave an overview of the state of the art and developments of the activities under their responsibility.
The IMC – in charge of WP6 Capitalisation together with Occitanie Region – gave a short presentation of the main planned capitalisation actions, with a focus on the Sustainable Tourism Community’s activities, in particular its Final Convention in Barcelona of last June. Special attention was also paid to the future strategic projects related to sustainable tourism of PANORAMED as well as other ongoing activities related to relevant initiatives, such as for instance the UfM working group on Blue Economy and the WestMED Initiative.
The second day of the meeting focused on the ongoing phase of testing, with the spotlight on the development of the platform that will integrate and harmonize all the data collected in the pilot areas, which was then followed by two parallel working groups on Testing and Communication.
As part of the meeting, project partners had also the chance to visit the Ajuda National Palace and the Belem area of the city of Lisbon.
